You can view the history and legacy of the event, which was conceived by movie mogul Louis B. Mayer as an industry function. How it has changed since the first one in 1927. There are games you can play here, look at posters and the statuette, as well as explore the Academy Database where you can find out about every award ever given. That is EVERY one handed out.
